Dr. Chang graduated from Harvard College and Harvard Medical School and completed her residency training in ophthalmology at the University of California, San Francisco. She has served as an examiner for the American Board of Ophthalmology oral examinations, and as an assistant clinical professor, teaching residents and medical students at UCSF.

Dr. Chang, her husband, their two children and golden retriever live in the East Bay.
